Q. How long does it take to buy a house?

A. The average conveyance takes 6 - 8 weeks to complete, from giving instructions to moving in. Chains can slow things down of course.

Q. When will I receive the money from the sale?

A.This will be sent to you shortly after completion. If you are purchasing as well the sale proceeds are used towards the purchase price of your new property.

Q. When do I pay the legal fees?

A.You will have to pay some money up front to cover the cost of searches. The balance will be requested after exchange and before completion.
